Simon Vecchioni is a researcher working in DNA nanoscience, with the goal of using DNA to solve challenges in fundamental and applied physics. As an undergraduate intern at NASA, he developed a team project to teach bacteria to communicate using radio waves. The verdict is still out whether that’s possible, but he’s discovered a bundle of interesting things in the intervening time. Someday he hopes to finish his undergraduate internship.
